KOAS 2025 Karawang, Shaping a Noble and Quranic Generation

THE KARAWANG POST - The Champion of Righteous Children Contest (KOAS) 2025 in Karawang Regency has once again been held, carrying the theme “Cultivating Islamic Values to Create a Noble, Dignified, and Quranic Generation.”

This annual event took place at the Husni Hamid Hall, Karawang Regency Government Office, on Thursday (27/2/2025). Organized by the Family Empowerment and Welfare Movement (TP PKK) of Karawang Regency, KOAS 2025 attracted 85 participants from various districts competing in three categories: Tahfidz (Quran memorization), Da’i (preacher), and Adzan (call to prayer).

The final results saw Klari District shine, securing first place in the Adzan category and second runner-up in the Tahfidz category, affirming the exceptional Islamic potential of Karawang’s young generation.

H. Asep Aang Rahmatullah, the Regional Secretary of Karawang Regency, emphasized the importance of instilling strong character in young people amid the digital era.

“The key is to turn challenges into opportunities. With good morals and a strong religious foundation, our children will be able to compete in this era of digitalization,” he stated with confidence.

He also expressed his hope that the KOAS winners at the regency level would go on to make Karawang proud at the West Java provincial level.

Similarly, Dra. Hj. Siti Rohbaniyati, Deputy Chairperson of TP PKK Karawang, highlighted the vital role of families in shaping children's character from an early age. According to her, KOAS serves as a motivation for parents to pay more attention to their children's mental and spiritual education.

As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, she called on all elements of society to collaborate in creating a supportive environment for children's growth and development.

“We must ensure that every child gets the best opportunities to grow, both academically and spiritually, so they can achieve a brighter future,” she concluded.

KOAS 2025 is not just a competition; it is a platform to instill strong Islamic values in the next generation. With a spirit of unity and support from various stakeholders, the dream of fostering a noble, dignified, and Quranic youth is becoming a reality.
