THE KARAWANG POST - In a strong display of commitment to education, Karawang Police Chief AKBP Edwar Zulkarnain has donated approximately 270 square meters of land to Madrasah Miftahul Ulum. The land, located in Perum Griya Pesona Asri, Cibalongsari Village, Klari District, Karawang, was officially handed over on Wednesday evening (February 26).
Speaking to the media at the Karawang Police Headquarters on Thursday morning (February 27), the Police Chief emphasized that supporting religious education is an integral part of the police institution's commitment to shaping the younger generation’s character.
“We hope that this land donation will bring great benefits to future generations, particularly in enhancing the quality of education at Madrasah Miftahul Ulum. This is also a symbol of unity in advancing education,” said AKBP Edwar Zulkarnain.
He highlighted the crucial role of religious education in fostering moral values and ethics among young people. With the additional land, it is expected that the school's infrastructure will improve, creating a more comfortable and optimal learning environment.
The handover ceremony was attended by several key figures, including the Chairperson of Bhayangkari Karawang Branch, Ny. Fanny Edwar Zulkarnain, Klari Police Chief Commissioner H. Andryan Nugraha, as well as the leadership and administrators of Madrasah Miftahul Ulum. The presence of educators and parents further enriched the significance of this historic moment.
The Head of Madrasah Miftahul Ulum, AIPDA Dindin, expressed gratitude for the generosity and support extended by the Karawang Police Chief and his team.
“Alhamdulillah, we are deeply grateful for this generous contribution. This assistance is highly valuable in accelerating the construction of classrooms and other supporting facilities for the comfort of our students,” he stated.
Currently, Madrasah Miftahul Ulum stands on approximately 1,000 square meters of land. With this additional waqf land, it is expected that the development of educational facilities will be further maximized, ensuring a conducive learning environment and fostering a high-quality future generation.
This initiative serves as concrete proof that collaboration between law enforcement and the community can yield positive impacts on education. It is hoped that more stakeholders will contribute to supporting religious education development in Indonesia.
